Brycen and ACCESS Collaborate in DLNA compliant Solution;
Digital Media Contents Integrated by Linter Database for DLNA Server Enhancement
Tokyo, Japan, June 3, 2008
BRYCEN Co.,Ltd.

Brycen Corporation, Japanese leading software vendor specialized for database technology in embedded system market, announced today collaboration of its Linter relational database management system(RDBMS) and NetFront™ Living Connect of ACCESS CO.,LTD. to offer an integrated data management solution for multi-media data.

By implementing Linter database into the Digital Media Server (DMS) of NetFront Living Connect, this solution improves the accessibility to the large quantities of data in DMS and the efficiency of the data management.

The DMS server generally allows DLNA compliant player (DMP) to inquire and play contents seamlessly regardless of which DMS the content is stored in. In addition to that function, this solution enables complicated search and sort condition to contents to be easily set with SQL query, that makes the data retrieval function much more flexible. The benefits of this solution are also found in the reduction of time for DMS to start up and minimizing RAM usage for data management.

NetFront Living Connect and Linter suit for all kinds of embedded devices, including digital TVs, set-top boxes, hard disk recorders, mobile phones, digital cameras, printers, home gateways and storage servers.

Having featured in mobile phones, digital consumer electronics, car navigation systems, audio systems and several other embedded systems, Linter is a globally advanced data management system meeting the needs of customers. Brycen continues its innovation to contribute to the development of consumer products that offer more comfortable daily lives.

The demonstration of this solution on Linux reference board will be held in the Embedded Technology West business show (June 5th-6th, Osaka) at the Brycen booth No.B-09.
